    Fall Ball Registration is OPEN

    06/24/2016, 10:15pm PDT
    By SSLL

Fall Ball is an instructional league that emphasizes learning and developing skills in a less competitive environment than Spring baseball. Players are encouraged to sharpen their skills, try new positions, and have fun!

Fall Ball Season is open to players of Little League ages 5-13. If your child is ready to move up to the next division in Spring, Fall Ball is a great way to prepare. This is also great for players who want to stay in the same division and can’t wait until Spring to play ball!

Fall Ball season runs from August 21st to October 30th  (excluding Labor Day weekend).  All games are played on Sunday afternoons.

    Answering the Questions Parents Ask

    FAQs by Parents

It’s the responsibility of your league’s coaches and umpires to review the current year’s Little League® rulebooks to make sure games are played fairly, and the season proceeds as smoothly as possible. While parents may not need to study up on the fine details of many of the rules, there are a handful of regulations that parents have asked for some clarity on. To avoid any misconceptions or misinterpretations, click here to take a look at some of the more frequently asked questions parents have raised like the ones below.

    • Can a player wear any jewelry on the field?
    • Are pitchers allowed to wear arm sleeves?
    • What exactly is the mandatory play rule?
    • Can my son or daughter use a bat weight on the bat to prepare for an at-bat?
    • Why does Little League have pitch count regulations for baseball?
    • What does an uncaught third strike mean?
    • During a play at home plate, does a runner have to avoid the catcher, whether he or she is sliding or not?
    • Can players wear sunglasses on the top of their hat?
    • Does the catcher need to wear a long-model chest protector?

    Positive Reviews for SSLL Clinics

    10/28/2015, 5:30pm PDT
    By SSLL

"I felt the sessions with coach Max were spot on with the content and methods.  Max focuses on strong fundamentals without overteaching.  If all coaches focused on the same basic concepts that Max uses, and the players practiced those concepts, the Sunnyvale Southern players as a whole would improve greatly." -Majors Coach

"The ASA clinics get better each time... I love the extra clinics that we have taken advantage of because the ASA clinics have given my players some extra time to work on the basic fundamentals.  Joe and the other coaches are always responsive and available and willing to work with me on whatever I need so I am grateful for their help!" - Farm Manager

"At this level, keeping the kids interested and paying attention can be challenging. But Jason did a great job of that by being funny and sharing examples from current MLB players to illustrate his points." - Majors Manager

"Working with Duane from ASA worked out great.  We kept things simple by working on one, maybe two areas per practice, moving from basic fundamentals to advanced techniques.  By having the same coach for each session, it allowed us to really make an all around difference for our young players." - Angels Manager
