Mid-year SSLL Blast
This Sunday (April 27th) is our Annual Photo and Field Day with our Coach's Home Run Derby!
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
If you can help on Sunday (for an hour or more), please contact me at wbockholt@yahoo.com.
Our Dunk Tank Operator for the previous 2 years will not be available this Sunday, so there
will NOT be a Dunk Tank unless we get a LOT of help! We also need help with the Hit-a-thon!
Coach's Home Run Derby
Managers, coaches (and parents, too) can participate in our 3rd Annual Home Run Derby.
Contact Doug Warmke, if you'd like to participate. (There will be prizes!) Start time
is 10:00 am at Faber field.
Team Photos
If you have not yet been contacted by your Team Administrators with the time for your
team photos, you can find the schedule here.
Please note: Every player receives a Memory Mate set with registration. (One individual
and one team photo). Additional photos can be ordered on the form. All players must have a completed form.
Hit-a-thon
Our only player-driven fundraiser will be happening all day.
Immediately after your photo time, please come with your team to Faber field.
Each player will have 3 opportunities to hit a baseball from a tee. We will measure
and mark the longest hit on a Sponsor envelope which the player takes with them and
returns with pledge money. (The players will then be released to their parents.)
Hit-a-thon PRIZES
- Turn in an envelope with a pledge of ANY amount and Win a Sunnyvale Southern Baseball Wristband.
- Raise $25 and Win a Sunnyvale Southern T-shirt.
- Player on each team who hits the ball the farthest wins a NEW baseball.
- Top 3 Money Earners win a Sports Authority Gift Certificate.
- Highest Money Earner gets 2 tickets to a San Francisco Giants game.
Come for the photos! Stay for the Fun!

2008 Little League Day with the A's
While SSLL doesn’t have an "official program" for going to
the A’s Little League Day, individual team managers or other
parents are welcome to sign their teams up and head out to
the ballpark. See this flyer for more information.
