Sunnyvale Southern Little League

SSLL Events Information (2010 Preliminary)
(last revised 3/8/10)

Player Clinics with All-Star Academy:

Sunnyvale Southern Little League is again offering player clinics with All-Star Academy. The clinics last year gave our players a great opportunity to further enhance their baseball skills. Again this year instructors from ASA will work with our kids on all aspects of the game. SSLL will continue to provide the clinics for SSLL players at no cost.

There are three areas we are focusing on with our clinic program this year:

  1. "Back to Baseball" On-field Clinics:
These are designed to re-familiarize and re-ignite the skills and love for the game at a basic level. Players learn and reinforce defensive fundamentals through hard work and training. The focus of training for this group will be tailored appropriately to the needs of the individual age level. There will be three separate clinics, depending on the player's division:
    • Majors/Minors - March 7, 2009 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Faber Field
    • Pioneer/Clinic(T-ball) March 14, 2009 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Faber Field
    • Farm - March 14, 2009 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Faber Field
  2. Catching Clinic:
New this year, this single clinic will go over basic catching skills for players who have never caught before and more advanced skills for experienced catchers. The Clinic will take place on March 21, 2009 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Faber Field.
  3. Hitting Clinics:
Players by team will attend a 1 hour clinic to receive hitting instruction at our batting cages and on De Anza II. The divisions will be broken out as follows:
    • Major/Minors/Farm March 28, 2009 1:00 - 6:00 p.m.
    • Pioneeer/T-Ball April 25, 2009 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
    • Look for more information on the times for your team.

These clinics are a great opportunity for our kids to improve their skills and enjoyment of the game. Improved skills leads to better games and more fun for our players.
