Sunnyvale Southern Little League is made up strictly of volunteers. Our children enjoy one of the finest sports organizations around, thanks to the many people who contribute their time and talents during the season. We are always in need of additional help -- whether it be in the form of managing or coaching for the season, or in a one-time capacity with special projects. There are many ways to contribute to the success of our baseball and softball season. A majority of our parent volunteers are employed fulltime, so please don't let that stop you from volunteering!

SSLL Open Board Positions

• Jr/Sr Baseball Director
• Secretary
  • Records the minutes at board meetings.
  • Duties include:
    • Recording minutes at each board meeting.
    • Providing e-mail copy of meeting minutes to the President two weeks prior to each board meeting.
    • Maintaining the official bulletin board at the De Anza Snack Shack.
    • Coordinating the team locator signs on the field for Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
• Snack Shack Coordinator
  • Coordinate the full operation of the snack shack during the season.
  • Duties include:
    • Thoroughly cleaning of both the De Anza and Farrell Snack Shacks at the start and end of the season.
    • Setting the menu.
    • Coordinationg with buyer(s) to make sure the snack shacks are adequately stocked.
    • Schedule volunteers to staff the snack shacks for regular and post-season games.
    • Training and providing written instructions to snack shack volunteers.
• Tournament Director
  • Attend the district post-season tournament meeting in June and collect the Tournament Director (TD) packet.
  • Preside at each tournament game hosted by the league and fulfill the duties described in the TD packet.
  • Duties include:
    • Ensuring that the field is properly set-up
    • Ensuring that the American flag is flying at the game
    • Ensuring that the Public Address system is operational
• Yearbook Director
  • Responsible for creation and distribution of the annual yearbook.
• Webmaster
  • Responsible for maintaining the league's website.
